Though he took a break from music for a time, Childers returned with renewed energy, gaining recognition for his albums like Run Skeleton Run (2017) and Interstate Lullaby (2022) and most recently Melancholy Angel (2023), He has been a staple in live performances around the Southeast. In addition to his musical career, Childers is also a painter and a former lawyer, further showcasing his artistic and intellectual versatility.
