    Volunteers and Staff at Florence Nature Preserve
    Event Description:
    Conserving Carolina needs volunteers to help restore a natural habitat and protect rare plants and wildlife by removing non-native, invasive plants and maintaining an important meadow habitat in Florence Nature Preserve. 
     
    Volunteers must have ability to hike about one moderate mile and to bend over. We will teach invasive plant ID and herbicide safety. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bring water, snacks, and lunch.

    Meet at the Conserving Carolina Hendersonville Office at 9:00AM (847 Case Street, Hendersonville) or at the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge Trailhead (3836 Gerton HWY, Gerton, NC 28735) at 10:00AM.

    The fourth Friday of every month from 10AM to 3PM.
