Saturday, Dec. 6 & 13--Take a Trolley or hayride to and from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village. Wristbands for the Trolley and Hayride will be on sale at the Welcome Center. The hayride can be boarded at the Welcome Center (near marina) and will take visitors into Chimney Rock Village where they will disembark at the Gathering Place next to Medina's Village Bistro (430 Main Street).  The Trolley will be leaving from the Welcome Center and travel to the Gathering Place. The Trolley will make a stop at the Flowering Bridge where guests can view the festive lights and decorations created by the all-volunteer organization, Friends of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge.
There will be music from 3-5 p.m. by the entrance to Riverwalk.  Mrs. Claus will be giving out Stockings to all the kids at the Welcome Center to take around to the stores in Chimney Rock Village where merchants will have goodies to place in them! Parents can find special gifts and finish off their shopping list. S'mores kits will be available for purchase at the Welcome Center for families to make while gathered around the bonfire just outside the Welcome Center in the fire pits.
There will also be the Santa's Workshop at the Welcome Center where children can make handmade holiday ornaments that make perfect gifts for their parents. Make sure to bring the little ones to see Santa in Chimney Rock Village at the entrance to the Riverwalk. There will be hot chocolate and hot apple cider as well.

Friday, Dec. 5 & 13-- The Trolley and hayride will be running the same schedule as Saturday. Santa's Workshop will be in full swing at the Welcome Center along with the S'mores ($1) around the bonfire! Kids can enjoy making their own special ornaments for family members and take their picture with Jolly Ole' St. Nick. There will be hot chocolate and hot apple cider as well.
