    Event Description:
    Join Conserving Carolina on Saturday, June 23 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM for a Work and Learn Party. In the morning we will remove non-native invasive plant species and in the afternoon we will take a mushroom hike guided by Mike Hopping of the Asheville Mushroom Club. The event will be held at Florence Nature Preserve, a Conserving Carolina property located in the Hickory Nut Gorge. Those interested are asked to meet at the trailhead of Florence Nature Preserve at 10:00 AM. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Bring lunch and plenty of water. We will provide extra snacks and water. We will also provide all necessary tools and will teach non-native invasive plant ID. Conserving Carolina is a local land trust dedicated to protecting land and water, promoting good stewardship, and creating opportunities for people to enjoy nature.
